Abstract
We propose event-related potentials as objective indicators for (sub)conscious perception of noise in speech signals. The study demonstrates reliable ERP differences between clean and degraded conditions, supporting ERPs as complementary measures to subjective ratings for evaluating perceptual impact of noise.
