Abstract

We investigate how speech quality perception in noisy and complex listening conditions relates to cognitive load, affective states, and experiential measures. Subjective ratings are complemented with EEG and peripheral physiological indicators to identify objective correlates of degraded speech signals. Results highlight distinct cognitive and emotional processing patterns associated with speech quality, offering insights for QoE assessment.
