Poster presented at the 5th Int. Workshop on Quality of Multimedia Experience (QoMEX 2013), Klagenfurt, Austria

Abstract

This poster explores how bitrate-induced video quality variations affect viewer vigilance during extended sessions. Objective measures of alertness and subjective workload indicate decreased vigilance under low bitrate conditions compared to higher quality streams. The findings point to sustained attention costs associated with persistent quality impairments.
