We investigate how on-screen HUD complexity and spatial placement affect comfort, performance, and enjoyment in VR exergames. In a controlled study varying information density and UI positioning (fixed vs. world-locked; central vs. peripheral), higher complexity increased perceived workload and motion-related discomfort, while peripheral, minimally intrusive overlays preserved immersion and task performance. We provide practical guidelines for balancing feedback richness with legibility and situational awareness during intense movement.
