We study the perceptual consequences of asymmetric latency in competitive VR exergaming. User reports and telemetry show that players often attribute inconsistencies to the opponent, not the network, and that avatar prediction can mask or amplify delay cues depending on movement type. We outline implications for fairness perception and synchronization strategies in social VR.
