Abstract

We evaluate continuous on-screen biofeedback (e.g., performance and physiological indicators) in a VR exergame with respect to motivation, perceived competence, and attentional demand. While constant feedback boosted goal orientation and pace, dense overlays increased visual load for some users. We discuss adaptive feedback strategies that preserve motivation while minimizing distraction.
