Abstract

We investigate how adding vibrotactile cues and visual pacing signals to a VR exergame affects respiratory regularity and perceived exertion. Compared to baseline, multimodal feedback improved breathing synchronization with target rhythms, reduced workload, and increased enjoyment. Results support incorporating lightweight haptics and visual guidance to promote safer, more effective exertion in VR fitness.
