We study proxemics in AR by measuring comfort boundaries when virtual characters and objects approach users in different trajectories and speeds. Results show asymmetries in tolerated distances and highlight how occlusion and spatial anchoring influence perceived intrusiveness. The findings inform placement rules for AR content that respects users’ personal space.
