Abstract
We evaluate how different MR display layouts influence perceived safety, productivity, and social acceptability during public use. Through task scenarios and bystander observations, compact anchored layouts improved situational awareness while wide, occluding layouts reduced comfort and social acceptance. We provide layout recommendations for public-space MR work practices.
