Abstract

This paper investigates how environmental distractions and spatial constraints influence user experience and interaction performance in public extended reality (XR) settings. The study examines behavioral and subjective responses under varying real-world conditions to better understand usability challenges outside controlled laboratory environments. The findings contribute to the design of XR systems that are resilient to contextual disturbances in public spaces.
