We examine whether adding controlled thermal cues to audiovisual content modulates emotional responses. In a within-subjects experiment using affectively charged video clips, synchronized warm and cool stimuli intensified valence and arousal ratings and altered engagement without harming perceived quality. Findings suggest thermal augmentation as a promising channel for affective XR and multisensory media.
