We probe whether distinct speech quality dimensions (e.g., coloration, discontinuity) evoke separable neural signatures measurable with EEG. Using controlled degradations and oddball-style contrasts, we observe differential ERP patterns and scalp distributions aligned with listeners’ perceptual categorization. Findings support the feasibility of mapping component-wise speech quality to neurophysiological markers.
