We introduce language-independent pictographic scales designed for quick, in-headset assessment of valence and arousal during VR experiences. Across multiple tasks, the scales showed good reliability and convergent validity against established self-report measures while reducing interruption time. The instruments enable dense sampling of affect without breaking immersion.
