We compare continuous in-VR affect ratings with retrospective post-experience reports in a fully remote VR study. Continuous ratings capture temporal dynamics but add interaction overhead; retrospective ratings reduce burden at the cost of temporal precision. Correlations and divergences are analyzed to provide guidance on selecting emotion measurement strategies for remote XR evaluations.
